Please note that the regular start time of 8:10pm has been changed to 8:00pm.
The warm up for A Grade matches will be 15 minutes, not the usual 10.

Presentations

Presentations for Women’s A Reserve, Women’s B, Women’s B Reserve, Women’s C and Men’s B will be held in the yellow gym following their Gold Medal matches (approx 6:50pm).

Christmas Party / Presentation Night

Our presentation night will be held on the 19th of November at Sunset Superbowl.

Pre-dinner drinks will start around 6:00, followed by the Presentations.
We will then sit down to a meal, after which everyone will be able to enjoy 2 games of tenpin.

Tickets will be available on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

1st will play 4th and 2nd will play 3rd.
5th will play 6th, and 7th will play 8th… and where possible 9th will play 10th.

Men’s A Reserve has been split into 2 divisions – the adult teams will remain Men’s A Reserve and the school teams will become Men’s B Grade.

A reminder that trophies for Women’s A Grade, Men’s A Grade and Men’s A Reserve will be handed out on the Presentation night. School teams will be given theirs on the final night of volleyball.  The presentation night / Xmas breakup is for both adults and children.

I have swapped the 6:40pm game on Court 2 with the match at 8:10 on the same Court.

This also affects the duty team on Court 3 at 8:10.

This change only affects Women’s A Grade.

Detailed Results – Round 10

This is the last round of the regular season – and many of the divisions are very close so don’t forget to fill out your score sheets completely.

Next week the semi finals will consist of matches where the top 4 teams in each division will play off (1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3). We will also be playing matches for lower positions ( 5 vs 6, 6 vs 7 etc…). Only the top 4 teams will play on the final night for medals. Men’s Reserve Grade will be split into 2 divisions – K2, Murtangs, IVPA and Fun-gineers will be in one half and the school teams in the other.

I realise many of the schools will be going into exams during the finals, so if you can’t make it next week, can you please let me know as soon as possible – I will be doing the draw on Wednesday / Thursday.

I have been very busy the last few weeks, so if you are waiting on me for updated invoices can you please send me a reminder.

There are a few A Grade teams who have players that haven’t paid yet.  I think I have been very patient, but if those players do not pay this week, then I will have no choice but to forfeit all the games they have played since Round 3.

The draw for Round 10 has had a lot of changes, so please read it carefully.

A lot of effort has been made to keep the number of duties within each division as even as possible, so version 1 of the draw sent out earlier in the season will NOT be correct.

A reminder that Pink Ribbon Night is on next week. There has been great interest already and I have heard there will be cupcakes on sale next Tuesday Night by Glennie to help raise funds for this cause.

The top 4 teams in Women’s B1 and Women’s B2 have been moved into Women’s B.
The remaining teams have been moved into Women’s B Reserve.
All teams will keep their current points, and will play teams from the other pool for the last 3 rounds of the regular season.

Draw for Round 3

Sorry for the lateness of the draw, I was really hoping it would be an easier one this week… but it wasn’t.

Next week’s is 90% complete, and should be out on Wednesday, provided there are no more changes to the teams. If you know your team is going to be away at some time during the season – please let me know ASAP! If you let me know more than 1 week before, then I will try to arrange a bye.

Early Payment

The early payment discount finishes this week – next week will be $80 instead of $60.
Schools – I will be doing up invoices for the school teams as soon as I can – so school teams need to have your team lists updated and sent to me ASAP.

Women’s B Grade.

I have split the 15 team division into 2 pools (8+7).  There will be round robin matches within each pool. After a round of pool games, the top half of teams from both pools will then form Womens B, and the bottom half will form Women’s B Reserve. The result will be 2 divisions – and 2 lots of trophies.

Duties

This season you will very likely have to do a duty for another Division.  We have a lot of teams that have not done a lot of  duties before, as well as many coaches that are having to manage multiple teams across the venue – so please be patient and offer your assistance, not your criticism. Please check the draw carefully – I have tried to keep your duty in the same gym as your game – but this is not guaranteed!  I have added a link to a powerpoint file that shows how to score a volleyball match. The scoresheet looks different to ours, but the method of scoring is exactly the same.

How to fill out the Scoresheet

I am making every effort to keep the number of duties as even as possible within each division. Most of the season you will only have a duty every 2nd week – but there will be at least once or twice during the season when you will have duty 2 weeks in a row. If you are concerned, please talk to me about it – there are a lot of teams and I may simply have overlooked your team.

As there are quite a few teams that haven’t played or done duty before, penalties for score sheets will not be applied this week.
I will not be as generous this week.

The draw is finally done. Hopefully it doesn’t have any errors!
There are quite a few changes to start times and duty times – please read the draw carefully.
Please let me know ASAP if you find any problems.

Some of you will have received a printout last week (before I ran out of copies) that ran through some issues we will need to be aware of this season. I have put it up on the web site.
