A big thank you to everyone for a great first day – everything ran really smoothly.
The standard for A Grade just seems to get higher every year. You blokes really seem to enjoy the 2.35m net, that’s for sure!
Just a reminder that not everyone comes from the same level of competition that you do – we have teams that haven’t seen official score sheets, or the number of correct substitutions you are allowed, particularly in B Grade. We aim to be a social competition at heart, despite how competitive A Grade is at the moment. So please keep in mind the referee on the stand may very well be reffing their very first game! Or playing their very first game – well done today Archie, that was some pretty impressive serving for anyone stepping onto the court for the first time!
The draw for Sunday had a few errors for B Grade duty teams, which means you may now have a duty you weren’t expecting. Please check it closely.
Mexicans, I was able to fix yours – you now have a duty at 12, not 3 – we really appreciate your travelling all the way from Inverell!
USQ Firehawks 1 – you also now have a duty at 12 – you were always supposed to, it just had the wrong label in the previous draw.
There were also changes to the duty teams for Court 4 that depend on results of previous matches.
The B Grade road map was horribly wrong… the match references were the A Grade ones. The format was correct though.
